Message from the Eminent Commander, John B. Mashburn

Sir Knights,

First, I want to thank each of you for your support and friendship. Any organization thrives and accomplishes its goals through the dedication and hard work of its members, and this Commandery is no different.

At the end February, we had a successful Inspection and all the officers rose to the occasion and performed very well. Several of our newest members as well as Past Commanders helped with the ritual work.

I would like to offer my special thanks to those Sir Knights who answered my summons to attend the Inspection. Several of them mentioned how nice the day was.

Columbus Commandery will confer the Order of Malta and serve as the lead Commandery in the Order of the Temple on the second day of the York Rite Festival, Saturday, April 12. Our friends at Mt. Vernon Commandery will confer the Order of the Red Cross and then assist us with the Order of the Temple. All Commandery Orders will be conferred in full form.

In preparation for the Festival, our two Commanderies will confer the Orders of the Red Cross and Malta on one candidate on Saturday, March 8th.
